Therapeutic massage
Therapeutic massage seeks to obtain a therapeutic benefit. While therapeutic massage is often relaxing, the end goal of the session or series of sessions is not relaxation. Massage benefits can include: Reducing stress and increasing relaxation. Reducing pain and muscle soreness and tension. Improving circulation, energy and alertness.
Relaxation Massage
Relaxation massage helps to promote a sense of wellbeing, both physically and emotionally, and through the relaxation, can improve flexibility, reduce blood pressure, assist in pain management, as well as reduce anxiety, stress, and tension. This is a type of massage that allows you to escape the stresses of the world.
Sports
Massage
Injured? Competing? In chronic pain? This style of massage therapy incorporates techniques applied to specific muscles to assist recovery of injury or discomfort that you might incur from training or competition. With regular sports massages, you can experience improved training outcomes and better performance in your sport and exercise goals.
hot stone massage
During a hot stone massage, smooth, flat, heated stones are placed on specific parts of your body. The stones are usually made of basalt, a type of volcanic rock that retains heat. A Hot Stone Massage can Help relieve muscle tension and pain, reduce stress and anxiety, and promotes sleep.
Prenatal Massage
Massage therapy during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains. I have an electric tilting table and prenatal bolster that allows the mother to lie face down comfortably.
IntraOral massage
Intraoral Massage is a safe and effective set of manual techniques that reduce tension in the muscles and fascia of the face, jaw, mouth, neck and throat. It is an effective treatment for patients who suffer from TMJ dysfunction, clenching, grinding, painful or clicking of the jaw, jaw tension, migraines, chronic sinus problems, head injuries, whiplash strains from dental procedures, headaches, tinnitus, chronic face and neck pain and ear congestion.
What can you expect from a session?
In our 60 minute session, we first spend time focusing on the neck and shoulders, and the muscles of your scalp and face. This allows for maximum relaxation. Then, after gloves are put on, I will access the muscles of your jaw internally. Typically, we spend about 15-20 minutes inside the mouth.
COVID SAFE
We are following the NSW Health guidelines on hygiene, social distancing and screening of clients and also have a Covid Safe Plan. As per current NSW guidelines we are asking clients to wear a mask in clinic, if you don’t have one this will be provided at no cost.
